“Regina versus Penguin Books Limited” was the public prosecution, at the Old Bailey in the UK of Penguin Books under the Obscene Publications Act for the publication of David Herbert Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
The jury found for the defendant which some saw as the beginning of the permissive society in Britain!
An original song that came to fruition from a D H Lawrence project undertaken by the amazing Wirksworth Community Theatre group.
